Mobile Phlebotomist -
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Demonstrates knowledge of job, which enables the Laboratory Phlebotomist to perform procedures expeditiously. Performs venous and capillary sticks for blood specimens from patients of all age groups. The phlebotomist is also required to perform urine collections and difficult draws (patients in mental retardation facilities, long-term care facilities, psychiatric facilities, or similar facilities). Has comprehensive understanding of compliance and OSHA safety regulations. Performs high quality work as demonstrated by accuracy and precision. Indicates knowledge and organization of workload through quality of work produced. Plans and utilizes time in order to ensure accurate and timely reporting of laboratory tests. Maintain well stocked work environment while showing concern and appreciation for cost containment. Performs other duties in a professional and courteous manner.
QUALIFICATIONS: A High School diploma or equivalent with adequate experience and job knowledge to successfully perform essential functions of the job description. Registration with a national organization is desirable. Phlebotomy certification, and appropriate on-the-job training is required. Requires minimum of one year verifiable phlebotomy experience.
